Emma & Rupert joke around on set

Emma Watson and Rupert Grint joke around during a break on the set of Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows in England.

The duo get giggly over the fact that Rupert fully admits he was late to the game in reading the Harry Potter books. Rupert joked, "I usually read the books before we start [filming] but I was late reading the last one. I was probably the last one to read it…"

Emma finished for him, "In the world. Ever. (laughs) Don’t listen to him! (laughs)"

Top 20 Trends of Twitter, Best Decade Amazon + Emma Watson Profitable Actress of Decade

First of all, we are extremely sorry for the lack of updates, but Riley and I have been really busy with semester grades. But since it's the holidays, we will keep you updated more often!

Twitter has released a list of 2009's most trended list of movies and other categories, and we are happy to say that Harry Potter was the best and most longest one to trend! It was followed by New Moon, District 9, and Paranormal Activity. View all the lists and categories here!.

Next on the news, the books "The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" by J.K Rowling have a really high ranking the Amazon's authors and books of the decade lists. On the "Top 10 best-selling books of the decade" list, Deathly Hallows took the number one spot, Half-Blood Prince followed in second place, and Beedle the Bard took sixth place. JK Rowling ranks as the number one best selling author of the decade. She is followed by Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, Julia Donaldson, and Terry Pratchett. On a separate list, the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban DVD ranked as the second best selling DVD behind Mamma Mia! Thanks to Mugglenet for the tip!

And lastly, we have found out that Harry Potter actress, Emma Watson is the "decade's most profitable actress." This is what CNN has to say:

The wizard franchise and her role in the animation The Tale Of Despereaux have taken $5.4 billion (£3.32billion) worldwide, putting her films' box-office takings ahead of Hollywood heavyweights such as Julia Roberts, Halle Berry and Cameron Diaz. She also boasts the highest average box office receipts per movie, with each of her films making an average of £554,880,000. Ali Jaafar, International Editor at Variety Magazine said it was notable that Watson was a big grosser, but it would be interesting to see how her career progressed. "She's untested apart from the Harry Potter franchise, but these are young actors and it'll be interesting to see how they develop their careers," Jaafar told CNN.

P.S - we will now be taking emails with Harry Potter related news. You can email us at hpsupporters@gmail.com We will also be looking for new staff members to post on this website as two people are not enough. If you think you have got what it takes, tell us why, you may get the job!

DH Interview, GMTV, "Day in the life of" Dan photos + Evanna Lynch interview!

In establishment for the release of the HBP DVD, CTV has released a brand new interview that includes actors Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. Dan talks about the cast of Deathly Hallows, while Rupert speaks about life after the series concludes. Additionally, ET Canada is getting in on the DVD promotion, as they will be sitting down on the set of Deathly Hallows to interview cast and crew. The segment airs next Wednesday, December 2. Thanks to Mugglenet & Snitchseeker for the tip!

Next on news, Oliver and James Phelps appeared on England's GMTV this morning to discuss Deathly Hallows filming coming to an end and the Half-Blood Prince DVD.
James noted that they're now finished shooting with the Gryffindor Common Room so the set has been taken down. When asked about future roles, the Phelps twins agreed that if there's one role that potentially appears for them they'll decide together who should audition for it.

EW has released three news pictures from "One Day in the Life of Daniel Radcliffe". To view the pictures, one of them is here, to see the whole scan, go on this Mugglenet link.

And lastly, a new video of Evanna Lynch, the actor who plays Luna Lovegood was on RTE's "Late Late Show" Friday night. She discussed the Half-Blood Prince DVD and Deathly Hallows filming. View it here!

Deleted Scenes + Wizarding World of Harry Potter commercial!

Hey guys! So sorry for the lack of updates, but as some of you know, I have been really busy, and I still need to teach Riley how to work this.

First off, the eight deleted scenes to be included on the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DVD have been released and are available to watch on YouTube here. You can watch them if you'd like or not. Remember they will be included on the DVD so if you will buy the DVD, there is really no use of watching it, but for those who won't be, this is a good chance for you to watch them ;) And next on the news, thanks to mugglenet, we heard that there have been three reports about a small television commercial for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park. It aired on NBC this morning during the Today Show. From MuggleNet reader Brooke: It was simple with a black background with "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, opening Spring 2010 in Orlando, FL" in yellow Harry Potter font. The voice over basically just read the same thing and explained that it was a Harry Potter theme park. I thought it was really cool to see because I live in Lexington, KY - obviously no where near the park!

On a related note, Universal has passed along a video that they put together which includes all of the announcements relating to the Wizarding World.

Daniel's “Harry Potter” Halloween

Celebrating with his fellow cast members, Daniel Radcliffe was all smiles as he made his way to the Harry Potter Halloween party at Harry’s Bar in London on Saturday night (October 31). Wearing a white t-shirt covered in blood paired with jeans and a jacket, the 20-year-old was joined by his “Clockwork Orange” clad costar Rupert Grint, as well as Tom Felton and Jade Olivia.

The Halloween outing comes as the gang looks ahead to next year’s release of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I” - which hits theaters in November 2010. View the pictures of them heading to the Halloween party here!

A synopsis of the eagerly anticipated film tells:
“Voldemort’s power is growing stronger. He now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide to finish Dumbledore’s work and find the rest of the Horcruxes to defeat the Dark Lord. But little hope remains for them, so everything they do must go as planned.” Thanks to Celebrity-Gossip for the tip!

HP Stars Tweet, Deathly Hallows + Halloween & PotterDay contest!

Recently, Tom Felton and Matt Lewis have been tweeting each other about filming the Battle of Hogwarts!

Tom Felton:
- G morning tweeps. Another big day on set. Very exciting! Playing my g tar waiting to be called to work. Love x
- Had a great day on set. This film will be EPIC! @Mattdavelewis was throwing jokes....I was catching them. He's a complete gent x

Matthew Lewis:
- Well I'm shattered. Working hard this week. Mark Williams and @TomFelton keeping me entertained!
- Ralph Fiennes is cool as. Lovely bloke too. Gave us quite the acting masterclass today. What a performance!

Filming for Deathly Hallows is expected to finish in Spring 2010, and release right after. Speaking of Deathly Hallows film, apparently Times Online thinks that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 won't be the biggest film of 2010! Unbelievable. They believe Iron Man 2 will be the biggest.

This is why they think that HDH won't be the biggest;

Part one of the final Harry Potter movie. Part two will follow in July 2011. Devoted fans have known what happens in the story since 2007; for newcomers, Harry and his pals Ron and Hermione search for some magical artefacts called Horcruxes. The plot takes the trainee wizards out of Hogwarts for much of the movie, resulting in a marked change of atmosphere compared to its predecessors.

Do you agree with them? This is so not true. Harry Potter is surely a greater phenomenon that Iron Man will ever be! It is legend, and together we know that it will be the biggest film of 2010. Let's prove Times Online wrong ;)

In other news, today is Halloween! And we are also celebrating #potterday on twitter. Don't know what #potterday is? It is described as "Harry Potter fans getting into the Halloween spirit by quoting and discussing the books." It is also the day that Voldemort tried to kill Harry Potter and his parents were killed. Happy Halloween and Potter Day! What will you be for halloween? Anything Harry potter related? We say yes, go out and support Harry Potter. I will be dressing up as a hogwarts student :) Is your costume creative? Send your costume picture and what you are to us at hpsupporters@gmail.com and the best one[s] will be posted on the front page AND will receive a prize! Spread the word. x

Comic book, HBP wins 2 Scream Awards, Deathly Hallows set wedding details + EW Preview

MTV has an online preview of six pages from the Bluewater Productions comic book which is centered around the story of Harry Potter; author JK Rowling. "They include very nice, full color sketches illustrating the life of our favorite author."

The comic book will be released on December. It is not officially authorized by Warner Brothers/JK Rowling. For more information click here!

Next for the news, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince won at the 2009 Scream Awards! We told you about the nominations around September, thanks to everyone that voted. They won for "Best Ensemble" and "Holy S***! Scene of the Year." Thanks to HarryPotterxPerts.de for the tip! If you would like to watch the awards, they will air on Tuesday, October 27th at 10 PM on SpikeTV.

And lastly, a brand-new Deathly Hallows set report has now appeared online detailing out the events and guests of the wedding at the Burrow between Fleur Delacour (Clemence Poesy) and Bill Weasley (Domhnall Gleeson). The writer notes the "claw marks" across Bill's face (courtesy of Fenrir Greyback) and that George Weasley has a bandage over his missing ear (which Ron has replaced with his own drawing). There are plenty of pictures taken of the Burrow set, as well as of random drawings outside of the Lovegood's home and inside Hermione's parents' house. This explains why Michelle Fairley was cast as Mrs. Granger, even though neither she nor Mr. Granger appear in the seventh book. The scene is being shot as a flashback where Emma Watson (Hermione) alters her parents memories. Read the whole article here. Thank you to Leaky and Mugglenet for the tip! Also, there were some outtakes from EW (Entertainment Weekly) featuring Dan, Bonnie, Rupert and Emma. To view the picture go here, and scroll all the way down.

Maggie Smith continues filming Harry Potter, still fighting breast cancer

Hello again, this is our second news update. Today is McGonagall's birthday. Actress Maggie Smith who plays her, spoke about her tribulations going through breast cancer treatment last year whilst working on Half-Blood Prince. She also confirmed that she will reprise her role as Minerva McGonagall soon in Deathly Hallows.
The cancer must have made it harder. “It was hideous . . . not so good,” she says tightly and looks for some wood to touch. The chemotherapy, she says, “was very peculiar, something that makes you feel much worse than the cancer itself, a very nasty thing. I used to go to treatment on my own, and nearly everybody else was with somebody. I wouldn’t have liked that. Why would you want to make anybody sit in those places?”

Welcome!

Welcome to SupportHP! Yes, we know it was supposed to be called HPSupporters, but it was taken, therefore we came up with this. Hope none of you are disappointed. Anyways, this site is still under construction, so please bare with us. I would like to give a shoutout to our website coder for making everything happen, Veronica! And to our organizer, Julie! Thank you both. Now, let's start with out first news update. Emma Watson and the class of 2013 attend freshman orientation at Brown University on Friday (September 4) in Providence, Rhode Island. The day after, the 19-year-old British actress was seen grabbing Starbucks with friends and family. Her boyfriend Jay Barrymore has also been spotted on campus. In addition to her literature course load, Emma is taking a geology class this semester. “I want to be normal,” the Harry Potter starlet has said. “I really want anonymity. I want to do [the college experience] properly, like everyone else. As long as I don’t walk in and see, like, Harry Potter posters everywhere, I’ll be fine.”

UPDATE: Emma did not fly onto the campus via helicopter as previously reported. Her rep tells JustJared.com, “She arrived by car as did everyone else. She has not nor will at any time travel to university by helicopter. ” If you would like to see pictures of her on campus, click here!
